We collect information you provide directly to us:
- Account information: name, email address, and password when you create an account
- Lawn profile data: grass type, soil type, sun exposure, lawn size, and geographic region
- Lawn photos: images you upload for AI analysis
- Analysis results: health scores, care recommendations, and reports you choose to save
- Payment information: billing details processed securely by Stripe — we never store your full card number
- Usage data: how you interact with the app, which features you use, and general analytics
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve LawnPro's features and services
- Process payments and manage your subscription
- Personalize lawn care recommendations based on your profile
- Send transactional emails (confirmations, password resets, reminders you opt into)
- Send seasonal lawn care tips if you subscribe to our email list
- Analyze aggregate usage patterns to improve the product
- Comply with legal obligations
3. AI Analysis and Your Photos
When you upload a lawn photo for analysis, the image is sent to Anthropic's Claude AI API for processing. Anthropic's privacy policy governs how they handle API data. We do not share your photos with any other third parties. Photos are stored in your account until you delete them or close your account.
4. Affiliate Links and Sponsored Content
LawnPro participates in affiliate advertising programs. When you click product links in the app or on our website, we may earn a commission on qualifying purchases at no extra cost to you. Sponsored placements are always clearly labeled as "Sponsored." We do not allow advertisers to influence our AI-generated recommendations — they are based solely on your lawn's condition.
5. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with:
- Supabase: our database and authentication provider
- Stripe: payment processing
- Anthropic: AI analysis of lawn photos
- Plausible Analytics: privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics — no personal data is collected
- Law enforcement: when required by law or to protect our rights
6. Data Retention
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Lawn reports are kept until you delete them or close your account. If you close your account, we delete your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

You have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your account and data
- Export your lawn reports
- Unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time

8. Security
We use industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS), secure password hashing, and Row Level Security in our database so users can only access their own data. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

LawnPro is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by email or by a notice in the app. Continued use of LawnPro after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
